Learn about Ten at the Top and its mission to promote collaboration, partnerships and strategic planning across South Carolina’s Upstate. This presentation will give a brief overview of the history of collaboration in the Upstate and highlight some of the initiatives and projects currently being undertaken to enhance economic vitality and quality of life in the Upstate. One of the driver areas of Ten at the Top is Community Vibrancy, which focuses on enhancing the ability for our local communities to grow and promote their own community and economic vibrancy. In 2013 Ten at the Top conducted a series of workshops on Community Vibrancy in the Upstate. In addition, we have partnered with Hughes Investments to develop the Hughes Investments Elevate Upstate Grants, which will award two communities per year a $5,000 grant to grow a vibrancy initiative in their community. This presentation will talk about Community Vibrancy as well as the opportunities available through the grant.
This presentation will focus on the history of collaboration and regional thinking in the Upstate and how Ten at the Top has worked to create a consistent and systemic change in how local communities and organizations work together to impact systemic issues that impact economic vitality and quality of life in the Upstate.
Because the Upstate is close to exceeding EPA air quality attainment levels, which has implications both to public health and economic vitality in the region, Ten at the Top has been serving as the coordinator of the Upstate Air Quality Advisory Committee and Clean Air Upstate program. In this presentation you can learn about what individual residents, businesses and local governments can all do to help reduce air emissions and ensure that the Upstate remains within EPA attainment levels.
Ten at the Top can also tailor a presentation specifically to the needs of your company or organization that includes some features of the above described presentations and/or that goes into more details on any of the five driver areas of the Our Upstate Vision: Human Potential, Economic & Entrepreneurial Vitality, Sustainable Growth, Natural Beauty & Resources and Community Vibrancy.
