One voice is a performance and live experience opportunity for historical and entertainment value. The show was birthed from the idea that many African American trials and triumphs could be better explained by the voices themselves, and not just the page or political platform. Over 50,000 audience members have been a witness of these retellings, from South Carlina to Chicago to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, where the loudest voice was heard in 1963. It is my hope that you and your group would listen, feel, and choose to let this information embolden you to use your “one voice” to make a positive change in your community and world, as these characters have done during their space and time.
