SCRA Launch and Learn: SBIR/STTR Grants 3Phase Will Get You There

The federal government awards over $2.5 billion every year in non-dilutive Research and Development (R&D) dollars through the SBIR/STTR program. The program targets technologies that have strong market potential, but are typically not ready for traditional investors. Early in a technology life cycle, the risk of failure is still too high and the value is still too low to convince angel or venture investors to provide funding. SBIR / STTR funding can help bridge the gap with one million or more dollars in research and development funding.
