Since 1984, Meals on Wheels of Cherokee County has provided healthy meals to individuals facing food insecurity within Cherokee County. The operation has grown from two routes and 20 meals served to over 25 routes with more than 360 meals served daily.
FAVOR Upstate exists so that everyone in the Upstate region of SC has a fighting chance at recovery from substance use disorder. They are focused on Rebuilding Lives, Healing Families, and Strengthening Communities.
The mission of the Oconee County Humane Society is to improve the health and welfare of Oconee County residents by providing animals with vital support through adoption, rescue, spay/neuter, wellness, advocacy and other education programs.
Currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, GLEAMNS has proudly served families, and advocated for changes that have helped spark hope, empower individuals and transform lives since 1966. GLEAMNS programs emphasize education, employment and developing self-sufficiency for individuals within their service area.
The Lot Project seeks to cultivate intentional relationships with those in need, to build connections to opportunities in our community, and to serve our neighbors in creative and empowering ways. Current Lot Project programs include the Louie’s Basic Needs Ministry, the Artisan Gardens, and Village Homes.

Working together with community partners, the United Way of the Lakelands is focused on strengthening local resilience and advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security for all.
Project R.E.S.T. works to Restore, Empower, Support, and Transform those affected by domestic and sexual violence. Serving Spartanburg, Union and Cherokee Counties, they provide shelter for victims in need, offer support to those who have experienced sexual violence, and develop and implement programs to assist all in living lives free from abuse.
The strategic approach to community problem solving by the United Way of Pickens County concentrates on collaboration and results. This is achieved through providing services through programs such as Camp iRock summer reading program and Pathways financial coaching, while also supporting programming provided by trusted community partners.
The mission of the Hope Center for Children is to build stable, healthy families and to provide children with a safe place from abuse and neglect. They currently offer six evidence-based programs designed to support the needs of children and families.
