Alice Cooper pioneered a theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, Cooper created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood, and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.
Along with his band, which features guitarists Ryan Roxie, Nita Strauss, and Tommy Henriksen, drummer Glen Sobel, and bassist Chuck Garric, Cooper brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo.
His nightly radio show, Nights With Alice Cooper, continues to air in nearly 100 cities in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. One highlight of 2018 was Cooper’s widely praised performance as King Herod in NBC’s live Easter Sunday production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
