Family Night: Buttons and Zippers

How do author and illustrator combine their creative talents to make a picture book? Find out at Family Night!
Families are invited to join us as author Leigh Ann Buckner and illustrator Mary McAlister talk about their combined efforts to create the picture book, Buttons and Zippers. Then pair up with a partner to create your own book with an original story and artwork.
Leigh Ann Buckner is an Anderson native and educator for over 20 years. Mary McAlister is a retired Anderson educator (in fact, Leigh Ann is her former student!) and artist. She is a member of the Foothills Writers Guild and Anderson Artists Guild. Buttons and Zippers is their first book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
