GTC Theatre: Deathtrap

Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a dry spell which has resulted in a string of failures and he’s going broke. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a former student —a thriller that Sidney recognizes as a potential Broadway smash. Sidney’s plan, devised with his wife’s help, is to offer collaboration to the student for co-credit. Or is it murder? DEATHTRAP provides twists and turns of devilish cleverness, and offers hilariously sudden shocks in such abundance that audiences will be spellbound until the very last moment.
This play is 2/3 thriller and 1/3 comedy, which will make you gasp and giggle sometimes at the same time. We once again feature Raymond LaCourse and Hanny Casey, our scholarship award winners. This time they play Sidney and his wife Myra. Dave Frazier, a GTC grad, returns to play a promising playwright, Cliff. Rahim Khan as Porter, Sidney’s lawyer, and Lauren Geoffroy as the psychic Helga.
Tickets will be sold 30 minutes prior to the show at the lobby coffee shop!
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students
Faculty and staff are entitled to one complimentary ticket.
