Hailing from Czechoslovakia and Venezuela, our clarinetist and pianist bring their lyrical partnership to the museum for an intimate concert. Ludmila Peterkova is a soloist, chamber music player and teacher. She has been a guest in Moscow with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra and is a recording artist with the Supraphon label, collaborating with other artists in beautiful trio recordings. She has taught at the Prague Conservatory and organized her own summer course of clarinet and chamber performance for 11 years.
Venezuelan pianist, Claudio Olivera debuted as a soloist with orchestra at the age of 12. He has participated in national and international competitions, receiving multiple prizes for his outstanding performances. He has played for every major orchestra in his country. He traveled to the US to begin studying with Dr. Marina Lomazov and in 2016, under her direction, he received his Doctor of Musical Arts and Piano degree, from the University of South Carolina.
