MLK Day of Service Litter Cleanup

    January 18, 2021

Join Litter Ends Here and The YMCA of Greenville for socially-distanced community cleanups as part of MLK Day of Service.

Observed each year on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

To stay safe and promote social-distancing, we are focusing this community cleanup inward towards our own neighborhoods! Have you noticed any areas or roads near your home that need a pick-me-up? Please join us in honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr by joining the virtual MLK Day of Service Litter Cleanup.

Invite your neighbors, friends, sports teams, or group and practice social distancing as you beautify Greenville County.

All participants must sign the Volunteer Safety Guidelines, then email the signed copy to Litter Ends Here’s Summer Gagnon at sgagnon@greenvillecounty.org. Include the number of volunteers in your group and what area/road you plan on picking up.

Trashbags, gloves, vests, and pickup grabbers are provided for free after signup.

On Monday, January 18th, spend a few hours beautifying your area/road in your neighborhood! We’ll make it a breeze to dispose of your litter, by picking up your trash bags full of the loose litter you have collected.
