Travelers Rest Christmas Parade

On Saturday, December 11, 2021 the Greater Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce and City of Travelers Rest will proudly host Travelers Rest Annual Christmas Parade. We are excited for the parade to return this year! This year’s event will feature an overall theme (Christmas in America) and awards for the best entries.
What is the new parade route?
The 2021 Parade route will start on Plaza Drive (in front of George Coleman Ford and Bank of TR), will then fork onto N. Poinsett Highway and then continue onto Center Street. The parade will then turn left onto Main Street and continue through ending at 331 S. Main Street. The parade will then continue on to its end point at Trailblazer Park, where we’ll visit with Santa and enjoy the TRFM Very Merry Christmas Market from 12:30pm-4:30pm. Signage will be placed along the route to alert the public of the new starting point.
What does the theme “Christmas in America” mean?
Christmas in America, Show Your Red, White & Blue! Think plenty of red, white, and blue Christmas ornaments, flags, bunting, balloons and scenes reminiscent of Christmas celebrations across America. The interpretation of the theme is up to each individual entrant; we can’t wait to see how everyone decorates!
What awards will be given this year?
Awards will be given to the first and second place in each category, and an overall Grand Prize Winner will be chosen.
All local businesses and community groups are invited to be a part of the parade by entering a decorated float, performance group, or vehicle in keeping with the theme: CHRISTMAS IN AMERICA.

Registration will close Friday, December 3rd at 5:00 PM to allow sufficient time for final staging. All entry forms must be submitted and paid by this date to participate.
As always, our primary goal is to have a SAFE and ENJOYABLE parade, so we ask that you PLEASE read over the Rules & Guidelines which were put in place for the protection of all involved.
