"X"
The tendency to make things whole.
5,6,7,8,9,10. Completeness in mathematics, ten implies the end and the beginning of sequence; ten can be a sense of whole by wrapping itself in power and force, in achieving and creating. Found in nature on ten fingers and ten toes, in games of children and adults, in the divine. Ten embodies a complete experience of the development of the first cycle of nine.
DTG’s Performance Company newest full-length production, “X,” is a collaboration of contemporary works from resident and guest choreographers inspired by the number ten. Each choreographic work presented draws upon their own feeling of completeness, achievement and coming full circle. From a playful game to the biblical descension of the Holy Spirit, “X” will captivate the audience, leaving them with a rewarding, enriching and truly unique artistic experience.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Steve Miller was a mainstay of the San Francisco music scene that upended American culture in the late '60s. With albums like Children of the Future, Sailor, and Brave New World, Miller perfected a psychedelic blues sound that drew on the deepest sources of American roots music and simultaneously articulated a compelling vision of what music and society could be in the years to come.
In the '70s, Miller crafted a brand of rock 'n' roll music that was polished, exciting, and irresistible. Hit followed hit in an endless flow: "The Joker," "Livin' in the USA," "Take the Money and Run," "Rock'n Me," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Jet Airliner," "Jungle Love," and "Abracadabra" among them. To this day, these songs are instantly recognizable when they come on the radio-and are impossible not to sing along with.
Peace Interludes are FREE music appreciation gatherings that unpack the rich traditions and diverse styles of great composers. Each month will feature a unique composer and drink pairing, providing a multi-sensory sip, listen, and learn experience that highlights a musical period.
Step into one of Claude Monet’s gardens and delight in the Impressionist period when music sought to convey moods or capture feelings. Mimicking the visual artists of the time, the structure of a work of art became subordinate to its effect. In the years containing the first movie theater and the invention of color photography, the world was brimming with opportunities to fill life with audio and visual encounters. Be impressed and join us!
This is not just tap. Experience high voltage, rugged, raw talent in the tap dance phenomenon that has taken the world by storm.
