We’ll discuss common frustrations of the board and staff relationship and share practical ideas to turn these frustrations into strengths.

Let your voice be heard. Click here to answer a quick one question survey about your board and staff relationship. We’ll use your responses to help customize content for the session and address the issues you struggle with the most when building relationships with your board.

Black Jacket Symphony: Journey’s Escape

Escape (stylized as E5C4P3 on the album cover) is the 7th studio album by Journey, released in 1981. It topped the American Billboard 200 chart & features 4 hit Billboard Hot 100 singles-"Don't Stop Believin'" (#9), "Who's Crying Now" (#4), "Still They Ride" (#19) & "Open Arms" (#2) plus rock radio staple "Stone in Love." It was certified 9x platinum & sold over twelve million copies worldwide, making it the band's most successful studio album. BJS offers a unique concert experience by recreating classic albums in a live performance setting with a first class lighting & video production. A selected album is performed in its entirety by a group of hand-picked musicians specifically selected for each album. With no sonic detail being overlooked, the musicians do whatever it takes to musically reproduce the album. Following the album & a brief intermission, they return to the stage to perform a collection of greatest hits by the evening's artist.

Malpass Brothers

If you like cornbread, hush puppies, sweet tea & barbecue, you’re gonna love the Malpass Brothers. This is music steeped in the legacy of the Louvin Brothers, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Sr. & others. Count on classic, real country & on new Malpass tunes. Count on a couple of old-time traditional gospels, some big, high man-hair, & maybe an Elvis twitch or two. This engaging concert becomes a magnetic time-traveling journey to when a calmer rhythm reigned supreme. The music they do, they do because this music speaks to them & speaks to the souls of its listeners. For the Malpass Brothers, traditional country music is the ‘real deal’ – every song portrays life’s joys, heartaches, problems & happiness. It comes from the heart, has depth & truth. Nothing is sugar coated. Our goal, really, is to see this music be revived, to help ensure it doesn’t fade away.

"Crunchin hard rock is the drivin part. brittle countryish balladry the cryin, with the two linked by a heavy dose of Led Zeppelinphilia. Cry It Out

Four months ago, Jessie was a corporate lawyer with a glamorous Manhattan life.  Today, she is in dirty yoga pants, covered in breast milk, trying to comfort a screaming newborn.  Isolated in a sleepy suburb, Jessie is desperate to talk to anyone besides the Food Network.  So when she spies a fellow new mom and neighbor, Lina, at the local Stop & Shop, one coffee together quickly becomes a daily coffee.  But their intimacy is punctured when a stranger who lives in the mansion up on the cliff appears in the yard, asking if they would include his wife.  Reluctantly, the duo tries to become a trio, but with very mixed—and surprising—results.  A comedy with dark edges, CRY IT OUT takes an honest look at the absurdities of being home with a baby, the power of female friendship, the dilemma of going back to work, and the effect class has on parenthood in America.

Hank Williams: Lost Highway

Hank Williams: Lost Highway
The musical classic "Hank Williams: Lost Highway" is directed by Jimmy O. Burdette. This spectacular musical biography of the legendary singer-songwriter frequently mentioned alongside Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, Duke Ellington, Elvis and Bob Dylan as one of the great innovators of American popular music, follows Hank Williams' rise from his beginnings on the Louisiana Hayride to his triumphs on the Grand Ole Opry to his eventual self-destruction at twenty-nine. Along the way, we are treated to indelible songs like "I'm So Lonesome I Could Die”, "Move It on Over" and "Hey, Good Lookin'," which are given fresh and profound resonance set in the context of Williams' life.
