Ten at the Top (TATT) held a special partner briefing on October 7, 2026 to announce their 2027-2029 Impact Agenda. TATT will focus on three strategic areas:

  1. Maximizing Economic Mobility – creating a platform for regional partners to identify shared challenges, exchange solutions, elevate resources, and coordinate action to strengthen economic mobility and workforce capacity through affordable housing forums, employer roundtables on barriers to employment, and a training series on behavioral health and recovery-friendly workplaces for business leaders and human resource professionals.
  2. Impacts of Continued Population Growth – continue the third year of Upstate Downtown Academies, restart Upstate Professional Planner meetings, and begin government discussions.
  3. Strengthening Regional Collaboration – providing consistent opportunities for leaders from diverse sectors and communities to connect, exchange ideas, and work toward shared regional understanding by creating a Council of Regional Leaders, continuing to host virtual and in-person platforms to increase understanding of regional issues and responses, and continuing to host larger region-wide convenings.

In addition, the board of directors has approved an updated governance structure to be implemented in 2027. Instead of having one Board of Directors with 70+ active members, TATT will now have two leadership groups:

Governing Board of Directors: Featuring 20 members with representation from all 10 Upstate counties, this group will have fiduciary and governance responsibility for the organization.

TATT Council of Regional Leaders: This new leadership group will include representatives from Ten at the Top funding partners at the Advocate level of higher and meet three times per year with each session being a facilitated discussion around a key issue impacting the Upstate region.

“Our board and staff have spent much of this year looking carefully at the future of Ten at the Top—where we can have the greatest impact, how we should be structured, and what we need to remain strong and sustainable,” said current TATT Board Chairman James Bennett. “We believe the Strategic Impact Agenda and Governance Changes allow TATT to build on 16 years of impact while continuing to have the involvement, support and expertise of business and community leaders from across the Upstate region.”
