We invite you to partner with the South Carolina Office of Rural Health (SCORH) in hosting a DREAMS Workshop for community members that live in Cherokee, Union, or Pickens Counties. This impactful workshop is designed to equip your organization and others within the county with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster a Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW), benefiting both your employees and the wider community.
Community members have already begun to see the positive impact of DREAMS Workshops, as evidenced by successful pilot events held in Pickens and Greenville counties in March 2025.
A significant increase in understanding crucial concepts such as recovery, the pillars of a Recovery Friendly Workplace, the pervasive impact of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) stigma, and the compelling business case for implementing supportive policies.
The workshop encourages participants to reflect on their existing beliefs about individuals in recovery within their community, fostering greater empathy and understanding.
Participants gain a clear understanding of their organization's potential path towards becoming a more Recovery Friendly Workplace and identify specific, practical actions they can implement.
The workshops help organizations identify their specific needs for ongoing support, such as policy guidelines, regular resource updates, community engagement opportunities, and assistance in developing internal resource guides.
Participants often experience significant insights related to critical aspects of recovery support, leading to a shift in perspective and a greater commitment to action.
