AIM - Anderson Interfaith Ministries

     

Founded in 1990, AIM connects people with support, resources, and education so they can empower themselves to become self-sufficient.  With programs focused on financial stability, housing rehabilitation and food insecurity, AIM helps meet the needs of under-resourced individuals and families in Anderson County through the philosophy of providing a hand up, not a handout.

The Dream Center - Pickens County

Located in Easley, The Dream Center serves those in need with a hand up instead of a hand out by empowering them to grow towards becoming healthy and self-sufficient. The Dream Center’s residential program, The Opportunity Village, combines a comprehensive one-year program with a village of 21 tiny houses and 10 transitional houses that help participants move towards self-sufficiency.

Mobile Meals - Spartanburg County

Since serving their first meal in 1977, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg has grown from 15 volunteers serving 25 meals a day to now having more than 150 volunteers serving over 1,200 meals every day to frail and homebound neighbors across Spartanburg County.

Meg's House - Greenwood County

Since 1990, Meg’s House has been providing safe emergency shelter and supportive services for victims of domestic violence in Greenwood, Edgefield and McCormick counties. In addition to emergency shelter, Meg’s House also provides relocation assistance, court advocacy, support groups, and educational services.

KNOW(2) - Cherokee County

KNOW(2) was formed to address the challenges identified in the original 2009 Cherokee County Community Indicators study. Begun as a grassroots organization, KNOW(2) brings together individuals and organizations to promote a growth mindset regarding education, economic development, and public health. Progress in these three areas brings reciprocal improvements to our families and safer communities.
