Explore the wonderful world of plant medicine. In this class you will learn about a variety of plants, their identification, and their benefits and uses.
Common Herb and Drug Interaction with Morgan McKinney, BSN, RN
Herbs, supplements, and focused nutritional strategies can be important components of overall health. We sometimes think that all herbs, foods, and supplements are safe for anyone since they are more natural, but they can be powerful medicines and have potentially dangerous interactions with other herbal or pharmaceutical medicines. This session will focus on the most common interactions, reputable sources of information, and the importance of communication with all your different healthcare providers.
Herbal Bitters with Patrick Corcoran MLIS, LMT
The human experience of using bitters for medicinal purposes dates back to before the written record. Just a century ago, the use of herbal bitters in the form of patent medicine was an extremely popular form of healthcare. Today, much folklore and scientific research is being uncovered, as some is substantiated by modern scientific methods.
