Greenville Tech Foundation Workforce Development Salute
The Workforce Development Salute is Greenville Tech Foundation’s premiere annual event that honors and recognizes community businesses, individuals, and partners for their significant support of the workforce development and education efforts of Greenville Technical College. This year, we honor Dodie Anderson, The Jolley Foundation, and Lockheed Martin. Proceeds from this event will provide unrestricted funds in support of the Greenville Tech Foundation mission. This year’s event will be tentatively held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in downtown Greenville, SC with a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a seated program at 6:30 p.m. featuring our honorees. The event is attended by over 400 community and business leaders and is an opportunity to feature all the many ways the partnership between the Foundation, Greenville Technical College, and the business community influences the quality of the education, exceptional applied learning skills, and the ultimate success of students who are well-prepared to enter the workforce.
“As the business community in the Upstate prospers, it is more important than ever that we continue to provide workers with the skills and education they need to meet the growing demands of area companies”, said Ann Wright, Vice President for Advancement for the Greenville Tech Foundation. “This event helps recognize the outstanding efforts of individuals and businesses in our community who support our students and their success, as well as raise awareness about the opportunities and programs that are provided by Greenville Technical College to meet workforce goals.”
The Greenville Tech Foundation supports the efforts of Greenville Technical College to transform students’ lives and help the community thrive by providing a world-class affordable education to students and building an educated, engaged workforce. The Foundation hosts this event annually to celebrate the successes of students, the efforts of the college, and the contributions of the businesses and community members in building the local workforce.
