About the Band:
The Carolina Coast Band evolved in 2013 from the efforts of three former members of The Out-Of-Towners Band as well as other well-known regional beach music bands from the upstate of South Carolina. The band delivers a combined 90 years of experience in Beach, Motown, R&B, and Oldies music to satisfy the demands of today’s party requests. Their popularity continues to grow as they span the East Coast of the US performing and promoting Carolina Beach Music, Rhythm and Blues, and Party Music.

The band is a member of the Carolina Beach Music Association, (CBMA), and members of the band have previously won or have been nominated for several awards by the association during the past years, joining the ranks of the many great Beach Music bands in their industry. Look for them in November of 2017 at The CBMA awards Weekend Celebration at North Myrtle Beach.

About the Band:
Mac Arnold’s first band included James Brown on piano. Mac moved to Chicago and Muddy Waters hired him on the spot. He toured and recorded with the Muddy Waters Band and recorded LPs with Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker. Mac moved to Los Angeles and produced Soul Train with his friend Don Cornelius. He even played bass on the Sanford & Son television show when he wasn't playing bass for Otis Redding and B.B. King. He retired from show business to be an organic farmer. Mac is back with his own band and a "plate full" of CDs, building a new foundation in blues, soul and funk.

The "FAME" Radio Show (From 94.5 - The Answer) brings the South Carolina Country Concert to the Pickens County Performing Arts Center featuring Ashland Craft ("as seen on" NBC's The Voice), Luke Smith Music (a hometown favorite), and Parker Ford from Fordofficialmusic (23 year old Liberty Native and up-and-comer)!

A percentage of all proceeds go to benefit the upstate's Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Panthers Training Camp Joint Practices With Buffalo Bills


Panthers training camp will wrap up with a pair of joint practices with the Buffalo Bills on August 13 and 14 before the preseason contest takes place at Bank of America Stadium on August 16.
The Panthers previously held joint training camp practices at Wofford College with the Detroit Lions in 2000 and Miami Dolphins in 2015.

City of Greer Moonlight Movies – Cars 3

Josh and Zack from the Roaring Riot are hosting three rounds of Panthers Trivia at the Growler Haus. Table Rock State Park: Third Friday SUP & Kayak Paddling Tryouts

Start your weekend by trying out a kayak or stand up paddleboard on peaceful Lake Oolenoy at Table Rock State Park. Learn basic paddling techniques, improve your balance, and try out a variety of boats during this program offered every third Friday of the month from May through October. All boats, safety equipment and paddles will be available onsite. Meet at the Lake Oolenoy boat ramp across the lake from the Table Rock visitor center at 10 AM. Program will last between two and three hours depending on number of participants, 8 participant maximum. Contact Table Rock State Park to add camping or camping reservations if you want to spend the weekend (depending on availability). Campfire for Kids: A fun time for children and any adults young at heart to hear a story or song, learn some animals lore, and participate in other group activities. You may bring marshmallows for roasting (roasting forks provided). Meet at the amphitheater to the left of the Pinnacle Pavilion near the campground. (3/4 hr.)

Table Rock State Park: Yoga in the Parks with Cheryl Mason

Yoga in the Park with Cheryl Mason - Table Rock State Park - October 27-29, 2019 Sunday – Tuesday, 2 nights and 3 days • Learn and experience firsthand the documented healing benefits of spending time in nature. • Release tensions and stress through daily yoga • Experience complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the practice of yoga nidra. Experience the healing benefits of yoga and spending time in nature. Cheryl Mason, owner of Lake Marion Compassionate Yoga and a registered 500-hour yoga instructor, will lead you through three yoga sessions using multiple yoga methods and introduce you to Shrinrin-yoku Forest Therapy, the medicine of simply being in nature. Each morning Cheryl will offer a chair yoga class for participants with mobility challenges as well as a mat class for stronger and more stable participants. Enjoy a guided nature hike around Pinnacle Lake at 2 PM, and on Monday evening, we will close with a relaxing yoga nidra class for all. No previous yoga experience is necessary to participate. Participants in the mat class will need to bring their own yoga mat. Environmental Art and Music Festival


Come on out for Union’s first inaugural Environmental Art and Music Festival! The festival will be September 26-28 and will highlight the community vibrancy of Union County known for its rivers, forests and rolling pasture lands. Camp the Falls Festival


Camp the Falls Festival will take place on Sunday, September 8 from 2-6pm in Falls Park. All ages are invited to the free festival to enjoy camp food, outdoor activities and demonstrations, music, games, a silent and live auction, and the much anticipated raffle drawing to name the eight winners who will have the opportunity to experience ‘urban camping’ in Falls Park on September 14-15, 2019. If “glamping” (glamour camping) is your thing, we’ll also be auctioning off one “glampsite.” Funds raised from the event will support Rotary Charities.
